Ladies, just throw away your razors and cancel your appointments at the wax salon because pubic hair is back and it’s here to stay. It seems like pubic hair has made a comeback. Recent research in Great Britain has shown that women are growing their pubic hair. Men however prefer waxing more and more. Of the women surveyed, 51% claimed that they did not trim or shave their pubic hair. Luckily, most men don’t seem to mind: 62% of men say they prefer the natural look.

The non-shaving trend

Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Lady Gaga are going along with this non-shaving trend. Paltrow even said that she ‘rocks a seventies vibe down under’. And Gaga said she likes dyeing her pubic hair in all sorts of colours: pink, green, … If you want to join this trend but your pubic hair is not abundant enough to create all sorts of styles, you can even try a pubic wig! Yes, they actually exist. Pubic wigs are available in all sorts of colours and shapes.

Downsides of not shaving

Not shaving or trimming your pubic hair also has its downsides. Crabs can nest in your hair. Yes, crabs were on the verge of extinction but with the comeback of pubic hair, they may come back. I prefer trimming my pubic hair because nasty odours can get caught in it. I avoid shaving though, because it can lead to cuts and ingrown hairs. Ouch! Whatever you go for, just make sure your intimate area, hair or no hair, stays nice and clean!

If you decide to shave your intimate area, you might want to try Multi-Gyn IntiSkin to sooth irritation of the intimate area.
